Dr. Tiffany Rush-Wilson

Dr. Tiffany Rush-Wilson is a highly experienced and respected professional in the field of psychology, with a practice based in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a cognate in psychology from The University of Akron, which she obtained in 2003. Dr. Rush-Wilson also completed her M.A. in Community Counseling at John Carroll University in 1996 and a B.A. in Psychology with a sociology minor from Cleveland State University in 1994. Additionally, she has a post-graduate certificate in Sports Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania, obtained in 2020.

In her professional capacity, Dr. Rush-Wilson is a licensed psychologist (LP) and a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor (LPCC-S) in Ohio. She also holds certifications as a Board Certified Telemental Health counselor (BC-TMH), a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). Her clinical practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and issues related to multicultural identity. She offers services both in-person and through telebehavioral/video health counseling. Her work extends to clinical collaboration with professional athletes and a strong focus on issues related to body image, athletes, gender, racial and cultural equity.

Apart from her clinical work, Dr. Rush-Wilson is deeply involved in academia. She is the Associate Department Chair for the Counselor Education Department at The Chicago School's Online Campus. Her academic career spans over two decades, during which she has administered and taught Mental Health Counseling and Psychology courses in both land-based and online graduate institutions. Her research interests are diverse, encompassing eating disorders, body image, athlete mental health, gender equity, cultural humility, diversity, and empowerment in counseling.

Dr. Rush-Wilson is known for her involvement in community mental health, children's services, university settings, and extensive work in private practice. She is a member of various professional organizations, including the American and Canadian Counseling Associations and the Academy for Eating Disorders. In her role as co-chair of the Transcultural Special Interest Group (SIG) for the Academy for Eating Disorders, she has been active in community outreach.

Her personal interests include spending time with family and friends, yoga, long-distance running, studying languages (French and Spanish), enjoying podcasts, and travel. She has a keen interest in medical television shows and is an avid fan of shows like Grey's Anatomy, The Resident, Chicago Med, and House.
